>>45949030>Is it just me or is battling unironically the shittiest and most boring/*autistic aspect of the franchise?Close, but the actual worst aspect of the franchise is catching Pokemon, specifically legendaries or other Pokemon with low catch rates. The battle itself is usually piss-easy because of the way the mechanics work, so they compensate by making the dice roll at the end difficult, which is retarded. LGPE gets a lot of shit but at least it attempted to do something different with capturing by giving the player more agency and involvement in the process. Ideally I'd like to see legendary battles look more like Dynamax raids in the future, with the legendary being absurdly buffed and the player able to use multiple Pokemon in order to try and bring it down. The difficult part should be the battle, actually weakening the Pokemon enough to be captured, not an arbitrary dice roll after the battle has already been decided. A sleeping Pokemon with one pixel of health left should not be able to escape from a ball, regardless of how tough it is.
