One of the things I like from modern pokemon games is how the player's mom has a pokemon. This is just a little detail, but I really like it.

Gen 4 would be best if the Kangaskhan had been seen at the player's house. Knowing your mom has a pokemon and then seeing her use it would be better than your mom just having a random pokemon. Hopefully in the DP remake the Kangaskhan will appear at home somewhere.

What’s really funny is that Kangaskhan isn’t even in the Sinnoh dex
Imagine in the remakes if you could battle Johanna’s Kangaskhan over and over for free exp at the beginning of the game to trivialize the game, this is how Game Freak would implement something like this

Or maybe not, Megas can be used in contests in ORAS so they'll probably bring back that functionality and have her still use Kangaskhan.

Gen 6 and 7 had the best moms. Gen 7 because she actually has a genuine personality, and is so laidback she always puts off unpacking the boxes in the new house. It’s also cool that she’s infamously known as “Scratch Girl” in Kanto and she sends letters to the MC’s dad while he’s in Kanto. The Gen 1 throwback battle with her and Meowth was also pretty dope too.

And I just like Gen 6’s Grace. Your mom being a world famous racer is just cool as fuck.

Delia might not be the gen 1 mom, but I think Mr. Mime would be something they would pull from the anime. After seeing >>46048892 I think Sunflora would be a good fit for gen 2. Gen 3 would have to be a Johto mon, maybe Marill. Gen 4 mom has a Kangaskhan already so you'd just need to put it in the players house or outside. Not sure about the fen 5 moms.
