Rider joining the fray alongside the monster is bretty cool for me, a shame Pokemon Company would never let your character hit another living being. Eugenics for creating mutant pokemons would be really cool too. They've already experimented with riding as HMs on Gen 7 but they could bring back that. Bond (Kizuna) attacks were basically Z-Moves too

It’s not revolutionary by any means but it’s a super solid /mon/ game. I went into it with 0 expectations and I had a great time with it. Simple and straightforward but very cozy and the MonHun designs are really nice. They also certainly could have removed the custom armor aspect but leaving it was a nice touch of soul imo

This system with a Digimon Tamers game would be so cool. I always liked season 3 the best because the tamers could use the card buff shit and actually help fight instead of standing around trying not to get squished.

The monsters are distributed by biome rather than power, so you get some monsters like Tigrex in the second area of the game while Great Baggi is in the final. The former isn't too much of a problem because you can't use a monster above your Hunter Rank, but the latter are pretty much useless especially given the fact that the Egg Hatching system means you obtain every Monster at level 1. It's something I really hope is handled better in the sequel.

I enjoyed MH stories more than sword/shield.

Now I’m super excited about the sequel, I would like improvements to the battle system, but again I just want another comfy adventure in the monster hunter universe.

I really, really want to see Chameleos added. It’s my favorite elder, but since it’s skeleton is kind of unique (to the ones already in the game like Kushala and Teostra) and I don’t have high hopes... but low hope is still hope.

The skeleton situation doesn't seem as important for Stories as it is the main games, there was good variety in the first game and some like Zamtrios that were completely alone in skeleton (though Tetsu is p much a given in Stories 2 since they added that baby Tetsu design to Rise)
