>>46272904i dont get why they say this but constantly interrupt the gameplay. zoomercore games are all about low context games carried by their mechanics and structure. every time im interrupted by a stupid fucking rival fight or a forced quest to progress so i can walk from flag A to flag B i wonder why games arent going the indie direction where talking is optional and they forego sidequesting to build up to important moments. things like gym puzzles are fine but having to do chores for the gym leaders before you can even enter their gym is outdated. i already know the fight is a boss fight, i wont care about them at all after i finish the fight, and i dont need any build up to tell that the gym is the climax of the trek to this city. if pokemon was really after the zoomer audience then they would just take the dark souls approach where you just play the game and a bunch of the content is optional or even missable. that game barely ever interrupts your gameplay or your ability to progress with drama or humor or useless npcs like pokemon does. TL:DR pokemon is full of time wasting mechanically shallow gameplay that is the exact opposite of zoomercore gameplay. its just an excuse to release lazy garbage by saying its for people with low standards like phone gamers and kids.
