I try but if you have that many raid legends run on you, it punishes experimentation. The 3-5 balls I might waste trying a curve on the left or right, would likely be the chances the pokemon might have actually been caught.
I hate that "floating pokemon" behavior pattern. Moving left or right fucks with curve-planning far more than attack animations do. Granted Scyther is an easy mon to practice with.

That doesn't mean they have a similar distance from the camera that Landorus has, and distance plays a huge role trying to land a curve when the pokemon if off center.
Ghastly and Zubat have more flying behavior; instead of just drifting left and right, it'll figure-8 around.

You get more dust at higher ranks I think, but the old system incentivized tanking so you could farm easy rare candy which isn't really easy anymore since it's on the fourth win slot now.
Your rating will be in the shitter if you lose a bunch of sets and vice versa, but there's no real gain to just losing constantly.

I mean, it's been a fun ride for me and if you liked the game enough to ding 38 in the past you'll probably enjoy the rocket content for solo play and pvp for a sense of end-game content to work towards and keep you busy.
If the game is fun for you, you should be enjoying the casual grind for levels and dust gains. If you don't like that core gameplay loop, it's probably never going to be a good time to get back in.
You'll probably be asking yourself the same question of "is go worth playing again" until the game shrivels up and dies for good, so just bite the bullet and stick with it this time or set an alarm/write on your calendar to ask yourself the same thing this in june/july/december (for assumed adventure week, gofest and the community day yearly rewind event) as those will be the big highlight events as far as "getting back into" the game.

Oh, and Talonflame community day is this Saturday from 1100 to 1700 local time with an experience point bonus. So actually yeah it's probably the perfect time to get back in if you care about being behind on exp.

Focus on the budget friendly attackers like Tyranitar and Dragonite which is fairly easy to get these days.

Honestly, I don't know why you would even consider keeping more than one Shadow Mewtwo. It costs a ton of resources (including elite charge TMs) with only mild benefit compared to other psychic-types (such as purified Mewtwo, which costs less than normal Mewtwo to power up).

Is this your first battle? If they land body slam first, that just means they have higher attack, or equal attack, in which case it’s a coin toss every time you both throw.

In almost all mirror scenarios, it’s best to not throw first, to try and sneak in an extra fast move. This way, you’ll be ahead in energy which trumps any IV calculations. Also lets you double up and throw back to back.

Aside from that, you didn’t look ahead. If it comes down to body slam vs body slam and they win, what does that mean? Your next Pokémon comes in and farms down (likely your Beedrill), getting ahead on energy for the next matchup.

Don’t quit when you lose lead, or worse when you lose lead and then they hard counters your swap. I’ve been on both sides of that scenario numerous times and seen some crazy comebacks.

No, if you're in anything but the overworld you wont see it.

9/10 times you wont see it across the screen until after the raid is over. The only semi-reliable ways to notice them are to watch the little bar in the bottom right or to have the app closed and hope for phone notifications.

I honestly don't know if I should do GBL anymore. The problem with Moltres (when flying high) and Lugia is they defy the standard protocol of waiting for erratic, ornery raid mons to attack, then throwing for excellent.
Lugia doesn't loop back around to a viable range before being able to immediately attack again, and Moltres is just too damn high to hit when it attacks while in its upper position.

Pretty shit, but I'll try to get as far as I can as my GBL team is much better than my UBL team. My MBL team is pretty spicy (Lvl 50 perfect Melmetal for instance), but I like to be comfortable by that point as opposed to trying to rush out my ranks at that point.

it was a minimum 2 star before he traded it, we were lucky friends and i pulled up all my legendaries that were double ups and let him choose whichever one he wanted (including my shinies). He was adamant on the regular Heatran because he had lost 4 of them in raids and they had just left.
His mum plays too and made sure he wasnt getting scammed and he was old enough to understand what he was doing.

also he had 2 shiny mewtwos so i dont even care, i did have 2 shiny heatrans but he didnt want one despite my insistence
