>>46590060It was given out for free and now it’s 30-50 dollars, from nothing to 50. The mistake is presuming it will stall at 50, when it has all the signs of being a solid Pokémon collectable.
I think your autism is filtering your reason anon, nobody thinks it is a super low pop tourney card that will make you rich - it’s a bit of fun with low risk, high reward - pretty much guaranteed to multiply over many times if you sit on it a while and it’s cheap enough for anyone to jump aboard.
We could have decided on base set 1st eds, trophy cards or festa promos etc but we wouldn’t be able to deny that market as a group and it would be a higher risk with 1-10k buy ins that realistically would never catch on or meme.
This magikarp is gold, it’s some fun with the /vp/ boys and a nice collectible that I had my eye on even before the hype. The fact that is was a USA only release will help international prices down the road also. I don’t care if some fat sweaty guy has a box of 100 hidden away desu, our demand can eat through the supply of this card. I know you may disagree and that’s ok, my collection is worth millions at this point and this is just some extra fun I joined in on - not gambling my life savings it’s just $30 per card and I promise they will rise. I’ve collected these cards since day 1, once again this promo isn’t going to make you rich or be the star of your collection but it will go up and is a nice collectable.
