Definitely not. ORAS retained some of XY's major features (like megas) and you could transfer any pokemon from XY to ORAS. BDSP won't have Sword and Shield's features like the Wild Area and Dynamax and transferring Pokemon will be limited to whatever makes it into the new Sinnoh dex.

I doubt BSDP will have raids (not saying no other games will have them, but BSDP seems the least likely), so SS will have something going for it, even after NSO gets shut down thanks to LAN mode. On the other hand, ORAS will lose a lot of what made it great when WiFi shuts down. It will at least have StreetPass, which that's barely better than record mixing but at least it's short and passive. XY will just have no reasons at all, PSS is basically all it has going for it at this point, unless you really want to play the boring and poorly paced campaign, which I can't rule out at this point.

This, SwSh will remain the primary pillar for VGC and the like until Gen 9 (and honestly I hope they continue this behavior in Gen 9, where the first game stays the main game for the whole generation, gets DLC, and then is followed by a remake and/or Legends type game that don’t replace it)
