What are your thoughts on these starters being chosen for the series BOTW-equivalent? I'm really pleased they didn't play safe otherwise it would've been the Kanto starters instead

I was surprised they revisited Rowlet so soon. Chespin would've been a good pick too, but I guess they wanted the diversity of roles.

I agree that Chespin would have made more sense. I like Rowlet, but its face its too similar to Oshawott's and it was already in SwSh,

It came out before the jobmon era. I want fox mage and ninja frog in it since they would fit pretty well. Even charizard would fit in as a mythical dragon. Just hope legends gets a big roster

Archery fits feudal Japan far more than a western knight does. Maybe if they ever did a "Song of Ice & Fire" sorta game, Chespin would be prefect. Like medieval Galar or something.

If anything I'm surprised Greninja wasn't chosen, as it would've fit just as well. Samurott was a good call though, both it and Ty need whatever (good) the game offers.
