Salamence wing's just look like shit. There's no way to make it look good in flight, especially with a 3D model.
The anime has to slightly deform its wings while flying so it doesn't look completely awful.

Charizard and salamence seem to suffer from the same problem: their lack of anatomic detail makes their bodies look like sacks with appendages attached to them. A bit more realism/slight sculpting details here and there would have helped them both immensely.
