Here, let's fix that. I'll start by dispelling some garbage claims about XY first:
>Kalos gym leaders were so unmemorable! Not like the Alolan trial captains that barely have any relevance or stake in the plot or the Galar gym leaders that have all their lore thrown into a trading card!!
I'll name one memorable and interesting thing about each Kalos gym leader that makes even the likes of Lillie and Hop seem more one-note.

Her gym is the first to show off and make use of diagonal movement. Her name is based off of the skipper bugs that Surskit is based on, and she's good friends with Valerie for some reason. (Also her sister works for the Lumiose press)

You're introduced to him as the winner of the bike race in a biker city. His gym is the first to involve climbing, and he's stated to be popular in Kalosian fashion culture throughout the game.
>Korrina
Free Space. You have a forced segment of the plot with her. Roller skates are cool.
>Ramos
He's a comfy old man that travels to get tea leaves from their place of origin. He's also a rodeo master at Route 12 where you can ride on Skiddo, in addition to being a Gogoat herder and supplier for Lumiose.
>Clemont
Shauna cucks you for him because she has a great dynamic with him that brought them to be friends. He's a nerd and his loli sister calls him out on it.
>Valerie
She's apparently very muscular since her outfit weighs about 33 lbs. She's a fucking weirdo that wants to be a Pokemon.
>Olympia
She only speaks in haiku and created her gym with her own psychic powers. If someone sticks their hand through her ring thingies she can see their entire future.

He takes care of the abandoned Pokemon in the village and is a huge fan of the Brycen-Man series from BW2.
