i'm sorry but, gen 7-8 ash just does not feel like the same character at all to me. seeing him win the league in sun and moon after losing in dp and xy was extremely unsatisfying and genuinely frustrating. and i actually like the sm series on its own, but... it just wasn't ash for me, y'know
from what i understand the studio that makes the anime has changed between xy and sm, and the damage has already been done regardless, so yeah, i guess i just have to give up on this. it's your time now goh fans, hope you have fun and enjoy the anime as i used to
