No seriously please defend this. Please made fun of LGPE before it came out because they thought ALL battles would be GO-ified, but it turned out trainer/gym battles were still intact.
Now we have Legends which won't have trainer battles. At most we'll just have 1v1 trainer battles that still functionally act the same as wild battles. This is worse than LGPE. Having an open world doesn't change that.
