You can't just assign a phrase to something that causes confusion and call that good, especially if a different description that doesn't cause confusion makes sense.
Roleplay already means a thing that has a broad number of uses. LARP, "Live Action" roleplaying is a more specific use under that umbrella. It has a particular use in denoting a type of role playing activity. It's not reasonable to take something that isn't LARP and just start calling it LARP.
