I made it to master with Garde, but you will have to change her if you want to move up solo queue in Master, she IS good, but for solo you need a Pokemon who can carry the team the whole match, so your best bet is changing for Greninja, TalonFlame, Zeraora, and start to play jungler.

Blaziken (Melee, All-Rounder)
Passive: Speed Boost - Whenever Blaziken KO's an enemy, major objective, or breaks a goal they gain 50% bonus move speed and 25% attack speed that decays over 4 seconds.
Basic Attack: Becomes a boosted attack with every third attack. This attack applies a burn to the target that does damage over time, and can critically hit.

Move 1: Ember - Shoots out a small flame that damages enemies. Deals increased damage to an enemy that has recently been double kicked.
Upgrades to:
Flare Blitz - The user cloaks itself in fire and dashes forward, dealing recoil damage to itself and stunning the first target hit.
Blaze Kick - Unleashes a sweeping kick in the area of effect that knocks back enemies a fair distance.

Move 2: Double Kick - User dashes towards target and kicks them twice in rapid succession, the 2nd kick will launch the user backwards a short distance afterwards.
Upgrades to:
High Jump Kick - User jumps upwards in a straight line and hits the opponent with a knee kick. If used against an enemy that is already affected by a hindrance, the damage is increased and they are also knocked up. If the move doesn't hit anything, the user is hurt instead.
Sky Uppercut - User dashes towards a target and knocks them into the air with a powerful uppercut. Once this move hits, the user can make a short jump in a designated direction.

Unite Move: Blazing Mega Maelstrom - User temporarily ascends to their Mega form, gaining a boost to their Attack and 20% damage reduction. If the move is reactivated, or the duration of the move expires, the user unleashes a large AoE blast of fire around themselves. The damage of this blast increases the more damage the user has taken over the course of the move.

Not pikachu pro here but there's no winning with pikachu, he's only good as an early lane bully. Your best bet is to make the most of this early advantage by stealing exp as much as you can to prevent opponents from evolving get the advantage at drednaw and snowball things from there. Mid and late game Pikachu falls down pretty hard, he's squishy and doesn't deal good damage. At best you stand in backline peppering electro balls and bolt to provide cc and chip some hp away.

Pikachu kinda sucks because there's no good reason to play him over cinderace. Like why would you? The rabbit does way more damage, and has ways to escape being dived.

Pikachu does have great damage and is really strong early game with electro web and ball, but he gets powercrept pretty badly later on. Seriously it's so easy to just catch him off guard and get an easy kill.

honestly Pikachu's biggest issue is that it doesn't really get good use out of any held item
like, the ratios on its moves are shit so your special attack even as high as it is barely matters and adding on more doesn't do much
it has 0 crit for crit items
you're too frail for score shield shenanigans or for focus band to make a big difference (especially with no mobility options)
it just can't do much with anything available

Covet resets your Belch cooldown and lets you do it on the move. If you get the jump on somebody you can Belch, Belch again with berry reset then once again with Covet reset and run around to continue pressure with CC/chasing somebody down or escaping if need be.

Any ranged pokemon can do this with good timing. Sure, Venusaur has obscene range, but if he's so far away that you literally can't see him while fighting Zapdos, then he wouldn't be able to see its health to time the shot either.
You'd know if the enemy team had a living Venusaur, anyway. Just secure the area.

I actually had a game the other day where both me and the enemy venusaur hit zap with solar beam at the same time when it was <5% health, so 20 ticks of randomized damage overlapping each other. Truly a coinflip.

What do you guys think is better? Psycho cut or Sucker punch? I really can't decide. Sucker punch is amazing in 1v1 fights, heck even 1v3s. I've straight up dodged ults and moves with it and killed tons of people. Psycho cut feels better for defensive play though, anything that gets hit by it dies to a fucking breeze and it's also amazing against dread and zap.

Items are score shield, razor claw and scope lens. It's done me pretty good so far, I like the build a lot.

It really isn't. When you get to the point where you have to work hard as hell to win three matches at +6 each just to eat -18 afterwards because the matchmaking is so loose and you get a casual player who doesn't care that much so they take pointless risks and throw the game or just feel like griefing since they wanted to play gardevoir jungle and didn't get to, it's too stressful. i don't like being that angry.

really the matchmaking should be tightened up a bit. clumping everyone veteran and above into the same matchmaking group is fucking retarded. some of the people literally have less than 100 games and are still learning what their moves do and they'd put up against (or with) people who have highly optimized routines and practiced the same strats hundreds of times against every mon. it's not fair to those people and even more unfair to the veterans who that happens to.

If the top tier 2 goal is gone then the last rotom is actually a win condition now. If they have one person on rotom then the zap fight is gonna be a 4v5. If they try to flip zap the entire team can just give up zap and score using rotom instead. Pushing rotom in is also piss easy now if you have a snorlax blocking everyone.

Stay far enough away from fights that you're hard to get to (unless they have Talonflame or Zeraora) but you're still in range to spam your spells.
Use Thunderbolt to stun and either Electro Ball or Thunder for more damage, though Electro Ball also acts as an execute on low health enemies so people tend to run that.
Hope to god you have some tanky allies to hide behind so you're harder to reach .
Don't take Volt Tackle or I swear to Chekov I'll cock your clock off.

Electro ball also has a slight stun on it and is actually AoE despite being single-targeted. Being a sure-hit also means you can literally just fire it off and get guaranteed damage to catch the final blow on anyone trying to dash out of range.
If anything, Electroball ends up doing more damage than Thunder just because of how spammable it is, but also because the enemy needs to stay inside the Thunder AoE for almost its entire duration in order to get equivalent damage.

Thunder will still do more flat damage overall if they're in the AoE for the full duration and is better earlier on in the game. It's just that Electroball has execute damage, so it ends up scaling a bit better in normal use.

I prefer thunder over electro ball tbf. The thunderbolt stun combos nicely into thunder. The larger aoe is also nice in teamfights and defending goals. Plus I can do damage a mile away which makes me much less of a target in teamfights.

Every time I lose it's never one or two losses, it's always three or four then a bot match.
Whether it's four losses in a row or one match per day over the course of four days with all of them being losses.
I just wanna be able to lose once, shrug it off, and then move onto the next match hoping things will be better.
I don't wanna have anxiety knowing that if I lose twice in a row I'll surely lose a third and probably fourth time after that.

From my experience, Greedent's pretty hard to kill, especially if you go Stuff Cheeks, I was able to tank a whole team attacking me at once after using my Unite move (they were just stupid, they got Zapdos and kept trying to kill me first) and it won us the game. Is it really not as good as, say, Slowbro?
