Its Pokedex entry literally states otherwise, and Electrode is... Its signature move is Explosion. I get it, high damage, but at the cost of the Pokemon.
Not my style, so I never used Electrode, and never looked into its stats.

The main problem is that it's mono-electric and not a legendary or Pikachu, so it gets zero coverage or boosting moves. If it had Nasty Plot it would be usable at least.

even if it is going to end up dead weight, compare that to a vapoeron, which can take out half the ladder and tank any attack. or the other evolutions wich most of have at least some kind of use in some situation, this thing is just fucking useless it is not even a glass cannon, its just glass

And what's that garbage about the other ones having at least some use? What is Flareons use? Glaceon? It can't be just their type, unless those types are somehow that much better. Which they aren't.

So I looked into and found that Jolteon is a three way tie as the 2nd fastest gen 1 Pokemon with Mewtwo and Aerodactyl. I have no idea why Electrode is faster than those three, it doesn't make any sense, especially since its gen 1 movepool rarely could take advantage of it(without TMs anyways.)
Regardless, I'm wrong, you're right, I'll just take my L and leave.
