I remember for 3DS saves in the console there was either a .dat or .bin file that was 1kb large but when tou extracted it with checkpoint you got a main file with no extension that was half the size, I imagine due to it needing to be decrypted.
Does the switch save system work the same? Is there a program to do that on pc if you have the keys?
I'm asking because pkhex did not recognize the the original encrypted file (for the 3DS games I know it doesn't work for BDSP currently)

Assuming you downloaded the NSP file, you go to Yuzu and find where it says install. If the installation fails it means you have an outdated prod.keys file

BDSP lets you choose any Pokemon from your party as a follower, not just whoever is in slot 1. Also, emulating a DS game is still trash compared to just emulating a Switch with one screen. So fuck you.

So, basically what this means is your Nvidia Profile Updater Plugin got deleted or corrupted. I'm honestly not sure how you managed that. I only ever managed to do that while haphazardly deleting shit from my ProgramData folder

Those files are mostly for homebrew'd Switches. They're compressed/bundled NSP files and I'm not sure if emulators can handle compressed files. Just grab the base game as an XCI and then the update as an NSP

Gems can be exchanged for tms and pedestals (seems to be purely cosmetic) and drills. You get a free driill from the underground man which can be used to drill your base.

anyone noticed how when you put a hidden move on a pokemon, have it evolve, then use the hidden move (eg; rock smash), the little popup showing the pokemon doesn't show the evolved one?

I like the skorupis and croagunks you can find scattered all over. Swinub too, I caught one of those.
Nothing else yet, though I have seen it changes later in the game as I saw a video with someone who had Gravelers spawn instead of Geodudes. So I hope that later on some more, rare stuff spawns. You can find gastly's quite early too there, but I didn't see anything else interesting in the gastly room, just an Absol which spawns in other places.

Don't try and shiny farm there though by visual, the world-sprites don't get shiny-fied apparently.

When pkhex is released you'll be able to drag the mystery gift onto the game and pkhex will credit you with the pokemon. As of gen 8 the wc are no longer stored ingame so you can't pick em up from the delivery man

Then the patch. It's just the same as with a PC game. I don't use tinfoil but there's the NSP for the game then the NSP for the patch, just install them both. I don't even thing it matters which order. Then you can delete them once you've confirmed the game works.

For future reference, I'd recommend DBI instead of Tinfoil. You open it, plug your Switch into your PC with a USB cable, click on MTP mode in DBI, that opens up a window in Windows as if you'd put an SD card in. Then you just drag any games, patches, DLC over onto that and it install it all for you. Nothing else to click, just one big automated process.

In case you're wondering and I didn't misunderstand what you're trying to do, I downloaded both NSZ files (game and patch), converted them to NSP, updated my keys file. Then went into Ryujinx where the Diamond game is listed (the 4.2 GB one), right clicked it, selected Manage Title Updates, and added the patch file (the 2 something GB one).

(seriously though I just restarted it/re-applied the patch 3 times each and it worked) Guess it has to do with the emulator
Ill give it till the next update and it should work fine
