I'm not upset Ash lost because I'm not an ashfag, I'm upset because we got such an unsatisfying ending to one of, if not, the best fights in the entire anime, this is like if Ash lost to Paul in their final battle despite Infernape's Blaze.
To make it even worse, they had Ash win the very next Pokemon League in the worst possible way, probably thinking that is what pissed everyone off when it was the blueballed ending to a fight so good that it was likely the sole reason Ash Greninja was put into Gen 7.
