I know this is GF were talking about and they're retarded but PLA clearly has a lot of work put into the assets and systems it would be crazy for any dev to just throw all that away. They get their monies worth by reusing shit.

We're either getting another "Legends" game next year or gen 9 is going to be like this

this was the whole argument for SWSH. They're going to throw everything in PLA away and start from scratch. At best you'll get a Wild Area but I wouldn't be surprised if they go full top down again like the DP remakes

At this point I think with the amazing sales and semi-rehabilitation it's had for the franchise's image, even if GF doesn't want to make a sequel/makes Gen 9 their own way Nintendo will step in and force them.
