Either way, Steven seems pretty as as long as a girl: shares his interest, is reasonably attractive, and isn't a bitch or high maintenance it could work. Jasmine doesn't have any major flaw that would push Steven away (like crying for stupid reasons, or being a stubborn cunt who won't give you a badge that you earned).
However, I've always pictured Steven uninterested in relationships, not necessarily asexual, but more interested in his passion of stone collecting than looking for someone (basically Ash but an adult).
