I have tested Cynthia's team, she only wins due to level advantage. Best of 7 against Red she loses 3-4, with Steven being the overall worst Champion. Followed by Wallace and then Cynthia.

BST plays a big role, and if all sides are playing optimally and using the correct type team, it's legendaries that tip the scale.

Ok if both sides are playing optimally then it isn't that hard to take down Zekrom/Reshiram, they aren't that strong, and again levels matter a shit ton. For all we know Red's Venusaur knowing Earthquake at it's level is enough to easily kill those dragons, especially if they're still their base levels.

Again, legendaries don't tip the scale, they help sure, but they aren't unbeatable, once those are down, it completely depends on the rest of their canon team, which we have no idea what it is, realistically it's not going to be such a drastic improvement to sweep the other's teams, because Zekrom/Reshiram aren't going to sweep by any means.

Then why did I beat him without losing a single Pokemon? Wow, I must be the greatest trainer in the world then. Also just as you said, I can compose a team and he can't, and they have no "canon" team. Your argument is irrelevant about the Legendaries, when they have literally nothing else to back them up in any canon way other than say a starter.

You can't just "settle" what their canon teams would be either, because that is going to get into heavily biased territory, which is the case of what you're doing solely because they have a singular legendary that can easily be beaten in game with a basic ass Pokemon, as has been proven the case by thousands if not millions of people across the world. The legendary means nothing as does this thread. The only canon information we have is this.

>Red has a canon team and canon levels
>Gold has canonically beaten Red (at least in the original timeline)
>BW Protags have canonically caught a Legendary
That's it. Anything else is purely biased conjecture that means nothing. So for all intents and purposes, Gold wins, period. He's the only one with an actual overall feat that matters, an actual victory under his belt over an accomplished Legendary Trainer.

Venusaur alone on Red's team can deal with Zekrom, both of these are Lv. 80 Pokemon with proper EV/IVs and smogon movesets at the time of BW (with exception to Earthquake since Red's Venusaur has Earthquake).

Venusaur is not only faster, it would kill off Zekrom in a heartbeat, Blastoise could deal with Reshiram with Surf in the opposite scenario. Fuck off with that shit, Hilbert sucks balls, and Hilda can ride my balls.

Red has a solid team overall.
Gold canonically beat Red, but I think his possibly canon team is pretty shit.
Victor has his minmaxed starters and Eternatus.
Hilbert has shit starters, but has Volcarona and Zekrom to make up for them.

The AI sucks and doesn't know what its doing half the fucking time, on top of that, most of their teams are pretty overall garbage in reality. Only a handful of them (mostly in Battle Towers) have actual good teams and strategy.

Even in that anon's variant, Red can take out BOTH legendaries just fine and still have most of his team ready to go. Face it, Hilbert and Hilda aren't going to do much to Red, they may get through their own side of the bracket, but they aren't taking down Red unless the rest of their team is just absolutely broken, and it'd take a lot in reality based on Red's coverage. The entire argument earlier in the thread anyway was that the BW Protags win because they have a Legendary, when Red alone can take out both of them out, they're irrelevant. Overall you'd just have to base the canon teams off either Masters or the Manga. Hilbert's Adventure team isn't that great anyway.

His Galvantula knows mostly bug moves, Braviary and Musharna can deal with Venusaur just fine, Emboar will take a pretty good chunk of damage from Venusaur before it goes down.

Assuming they're trading back and forth.

Pikachu > Braviary
Charizard > Reshiram
Venusaur > Carracosta
Lapras > Emboar
Snorlax > Musharna
Galvantula > Blastoise

Red has the advantage since his Pokemon would be carrying over into other fights too, then its a speed contest and how much damage they can actually do. Blastoise is really his weakest link in this fight, or Espeon if you want to assume he has that over Lapras.
