4 is complicated. We still have major floods whenever we get news regarding the mainline games and that could overwhelm /vg/. In the case of /mlp/, GR15 is still a thing so I doubt that board will ever be removed unless pony content is allowed outside the board again.
Frankly, the coomershit is a problem in several boards, not just /vp/. It's just more pronounced here since the board solely focuses on one media franchise. I may like porn every now and then, but I go to the red boards if I wanted that.
