Shauntal doesn't have the same kind of fandom that pushes for their character to be remembered like Roxie has, along with competition from Hex Maniac for their similar vibes which Shauntal is definitely not winning

Also Roxie generally is drawn like a petite woman for fanart which also has a niche in a spectrum where characters are typically drawn with massive tits

Shauntel, like nearly every E4 member, doesn't do anything. You fight her and that's it. There's nothing there to latch on to. Roxie appears early in BW2 and actually has story around her.

Well, Roxie is a second Gym Leader... Much like Misty. Shauntal is an Elite 4 member met at the tail end of the adventure.

Neck pillow always draws my eyes to it and then I don't look at the rest of the design at all. Shame because she's cute, but 3/4 of the univa elite four have very terrible distracting design elements that take away from their design. Only Grimsley managed to avoid it and that's why he's the most popular

She's part of the most forgettable yet shilled elite 4, as they manage to be bland even for said groups. Caitlin is only remembered because she appeared in another game optional area, Grimsley because he makes fujos coom in master and Shauntal and giganigga gets to bite the dust. It's a shame but in a game with strong design the elite 4 feels more like an afterthought this time.

Because prior to about Gen 7, they basically didn’t factor into the story at all. The Indigo League and Hoenn League you don’t even learn the names of until you battle them. The Sinnoh League, Unova League, and Kalos League you only get allusions to them during the story/maybe meet one of them with no reference to them being in the League.

Something G7 and G8 did well was make the League four relevant to the gameworld outside of acting like endgame beefgates. One major exception was Kahili, and it made her seem really out of place as a result.
