Silver = Better sprites than half of Crystal's sprites since it shares a bit of Gold's sprites.
Crystal gives you Suicune and offers no special attack to it, dumbing down the hunt to find it.
Silver hides Lugia, and Lugia in Silver, like Ho-Oh in Gold have their legendary special attacks, So they offer more and makes you actually hunt down the three hounds.
While there is a few more stuff in Crystal, like being a ywnbaw, and have the battle arena, I do enjoy Silver the most.
