Lysandre's motivation to kill everyone makes no sense for the world he's in, and the little that might justify it is found in the postgame during the Looker quests long after you beat him.

• The legendaries are meaningless. They have no connection to the region's identity, no locations to themselves, and have the amazing story roles of being batteries for a big flower. Nobody in the region cares about them except for Lysandre and some old man in a house who exposits their hilariously barebones lore at you so you know they exist. No explanation is given for how Flare acquired them, either.
• For a region that was the epicenter of a terrible ancient war ended by a world-scorching superweapon, there sure is a lack of evidence of said ancient war. All we have are rocks lifted from the real world region of Carnac. Other than that, there's no ruins, scars, records, or anything of the sort. Without AZ's loredump, would the ancient war even be known at all?
• The game is easy as fuck, especially with the new Exp. Share, the Amie buffs, and Mega Evolutions. Even without those, trainers use too few Pokemon, use no strategy, and often don't have full movesets for their Pokemon. Even the Champion is a pushover.
• Your "friends" masquerading as rivals all deserve to be thrown off a cliff into a pit of lava. Especially Tierno and Trevor who have little reason to exist and should've been replaced with Sina and Dexio. The "friends" are all boring cardboard cutouts of human beings who worship you amd take up far too much of your time.
• The only rival who ever uses more than 3 Pokemon is the opposite player.
• It is virtually impossible to lose Trevor's Pokedex competitions.
• holy fuck none of Tierno's Pokemon have complete movesets jesus hahahahaha how are you this bad
