Have you ever raised a jobber Pokemon? Something that inexplicably kept losing despite seeming fine?
My fucking Haxorus I was thrilled to finally raise kept getting his ass kicked since I caught him as an Axew in SWSH of all games. Poor bastard was literally the one team member who didn't do anything against Leon and Raihan fodderized him along with the entire gym. It was so bad, I decided to make him the only other Pokemon I kept besides my starter for the expansion (I got it physically) and suddenly he's having a much better time.
