For me, it's Emolga. The best basic pokemon. I even ask for extra copies of the same card and my deck is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.

One time I asked for more Emolgas and it gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and my nice friendly opponent laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".

Now my LGS greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS sells me three packs of Brilliant Stars. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local game store, I go there at least 3 times a week after lunch and bring a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times after breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once after dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great game that is affordable, fast, and can fill my bench on turn one every time.

I even pitch the extra copies sometimes into my discard pile, I always Make Do! What a great card game.

It's hard to say what my favourite pokemon is, anon. I've played the games for a good chunk of my life, through multiple generations and challenges. So I've formed attachments to a good variety of pokemon that answering which one is my favourite is difficult. But I do have a bunch of favourites.

I like scizor quite a lot, deoxys is also pretty cool.

I don't have many suicune cards, but here's one I do have since its one of your favs.

:) nice pic. I've mostly avoided spending too much money on one Pokémon but foolishly bought this GMA 10 Suicune out of impulse (my first card actually). definitely not the ideal Suicune card I want in a graded slab, but it is what it is and I enjoy the nice black/gold card stock (even if it has less rep).

It's real. I have never seen texturing on a fake card to the extent that I would be fooled. Rainbow rares have multiple forms of texturing, too. They have the regular lines that go in many directions, but also a spray-paint-stippling effect that you can see in the top right portion of the card. Vmax alt arts also have this. This shit is extremely difficult to forge.

You can tell fake cards pretty easily.

Go for it. They're only $50 for a booster box. You only get 30 a box and 5 per pack though. I think there's a guaranteed radiant card per box though that'd justify the price alone.

Are the random booster packs included with celebrations stuff supposed to have abysmal pull rates, compared to normal? Out of the 16 mini tins all I got was a Darkness Ablaze Grimsnarl V and literally nothing from the Vivid Voltage/Battle Styles boosters in 15 collectors chests.

Shipping and fees is that 800 yen in the breakdown. Not sure how your import fees work over there in Europe. Here in the US if it's not over a certain amount, there's no additional fees. I've ordered a few things this year around $500 from eBay coming from japan and have had to pay no additional money to the government.

I've been thinking about how relatively inexpensive it is to buy any card that you want if you're even semi-well off -- assuming that card isn't charizard,blastoise,venusaur 1st ed base, and was commercially available in a pack. Even PSA10 crystal lugia is selling for under 5 figures. You can get literally anything you wanted in psa10 if you just have a job that pays 6 figures a year. The only commercially available cards out of reach would be the original 3 starters. But that's it. All other cards in psa10 are well within your grasp.

This hobby isn't that expensive in the grand scheme of things. And that's why real investors have actually expensive cards that we don't even mention here.

We have 20+ year old cards that don't crack 5 figures in PSA10. There are likely fewer than 10 (potentially 5) commercially available cards that you could pull from a pack that go for more than 5 figures in a psa10. That's wild.

All that to say, you shouldn't be in this for investing unless you're buying championship promos and cards of similar rarity. Or else you're not investing. You're getting a meager 1.5x (at most) on a card worth $50. Percentage is never what matters, only absolute dollars.

My favorite card is probably radiant collection mew ex, the art is cool and stuff. Nostalgia probably plays a part too. All of the radiant collection cards from that set are great.

What are you smoking? They're the gold standard penny sleeves. That's it. I use penny sleeves when I transfer cards I bought at a card shop to my home, where I swap them for better ones. I use penny sleeves to ship cards around the world in that I'm selling. Not only are they cloudy, but their material is so thin that it folds over just sliding them into the binder. Disgusting.

If a piece of cardboard is worth it for me to keep, it's worth it to put in something nicer than a $0.01 sleeve.

Why is Pokemon Evolutions Sets so expensive? It’s almost a grand. This is coming from someone who doesn’t know anything about Pokémon since the old e-cards.

It's a reprint of base set. When normies got priced out of base set they went to Evolutions to get their fix, and then priced themselves out of that as well.

Nobody was scalping and investing in Evolutions, what are you talking about? It's price increase was entirely driven by hype for opening it. In fact if people were investing in it the price probably wouldn't have gotten so insane because the supply of sealed product would be larger.
