Question: have you guys ever made exceptions/bent the rules during a nuzlocke due to extreme circumstances? My first encounter on route 35 was technically a pineco but it killed itself and my spinarak with self destruct. It was really crushing, it took all the control i had to not rage quit. But anyway, I ended up running into a fucking yanma as my first grass encounter and like, cmon, the WHOLE reason I went for headbutt is because I figured I had no chance at a yanma. I ended up bending the rules and retroactively deciding to include a pity clause that says any Pokémon that kills itself can be ignored as an encounter (but any of my own Pokémon that are killed by it are still dead, what’s done is done). Is this unreasonable? Have you guys ever done something like this? It doesn’t conflict with any previous encounters I’ve had but I feel a little weird having bent the rules like this. Opinions?
