No, dummy. There are an upwards of 20 to 30 rules you will need to have memorized before you join the server. You can find a full list of these rules on the Official /vp/ixelmon Discord server. While you're there, you will be expected to answer a short 100 question quiz (don't worry it's multiple choice) on the server rules. Then you'll have to wait a couple of days for the discord admins to grade your performance, and if everything's up to snuff you'll be allowed to join the /vp/ixelmon minecraft server (as long as there is an open slot that isn't already reserved by an admin or a donator).

Of course I’m helping with Charizardfort, but you gotta flesh out the concept into an actual map to follow, now my 5 star point concept would only need to be hollowed out on the top layer and we can dig out a waterway around it, and since this place is gonna be Dragon central it should probably be stylized a bit to match, hence my dragon tail bridge idea
I’m not even thinking about Popstar because that’s Marx’s problem
And you said the colosseum plaza would be a long walk around, that’s the point of towns, there’s gonna be walking regardless and pokemon riding really makes it a non issue while letting us center the fort around a structure. building a 1:1 french starfort sounds incredibly boring, why not free yourself a bit?

Reply to this post with what type of gym leader you want to be. This isn't laying claim or anything like that so your name isn't necessary; it'd be gay as hell if someone built a gym and then was told they couldn't be that type because some fag claimed it on 4chan 2 weeks earlier. This is just a way to see how much competition there is for each type, so that people might opt to build a good gym for a type with no competition instead of trying to speedrun a shitty one of a type that multiple people want.

Adding dragon theming to sounds nice. The 5 pointed star just seems inefficient. I want to finish the town and enjoy it. Instead of spending most of the server building it. This is well known.
They even tried to nerf it in gen 6 by making ghost and dark neutral but it still ultimately came out even stronger because they introduced the second strongest type that it happens to be supereffective against.

I’ve done a lot of redstone for my past gyms. Last gen I made a complicated redstone puzzle and parkor course for my gym; however, I overestimated the average IQ of /vp/ and only 1 player was able to remember high school chemistry and solve it. So the payoff of setting it up wasn’t great because the puzzle went underused

Probably not gonna do another redstone puzzle for my gym this gen because of the aforementioned issue. At the very least, something simple and sweet. Maybe just item detection and door unlocking.

Injecting is just cheating a pokemon in, I'm moderately sure you can't even do that on /vp/ixelmon.
How I do it is:
>catch six pokemon in the field egg group, one with a 31 IV for each stat (this is easy in pixelmon because you can search for pokemon by IV with the radar)
>breed two of them together holding the appropriate power items so I now have a 2IV
>put a destiny knot on that and then breed it with one of the others holding its relevant power item to get a 3IV
>rinse and repeat with until a 5IV male, I don't bother trying for a 6IV since destiny knot only carries down 5 so you'd have to get the last 31 naturally which could take forever
>can now use that with destiny knot to breed any field pokemon
>when you want something in another egg group just find which pokemon is in both field and that egg group, and then breed a 5 IV male of that using your original 5IV, and then use that to breed the pokemon you want

bottle caps are a thing and were made easier to use last gen because they removed the level cap, but you're not gonna acquire them easily enough to make all your mons with them (until very late game where you have so many tickets you can buy anything you want)

But the concentration of players isn't my main point anyways, I just think much of the fun comes from carving out your spot from the land, and much of the joy in that is hollow when there's pre-built civilization just over the hill. I dont remeber the numbers but I do remember a finished league when I played. There was a flower bouncing and a pirate ship and it was all done in creative or mightve been spawn in pre-built. Players could make "gyms" but had nothing to hand out and didn't interact with the league so it was hollow. Just, I was really bored by how it was all just done before it could even begin.

That's what people literally did that last year. There were tons of towns and builds that people worked on together. Tournaments and events were held in player built arenas and towns.

I'm going to build a town in a dome underwater, and I'm gonna put signs up around the server advertising it as a tourist spot, only when you get there it turns out it's actually a forced labor colony meant to make tourists mine in caves under the ocean floor ran by a pirate crew whose captain happens to be the water type gym leader (me). Some easily defeated goon tries to take your pokemon the second you drop in. To escape, you'll have to defeat some foremen to open the transport chute that leads to a nearby island where a ship is docked awaiting more minerals to sell, and that ship will be where the gym battle takes place.

In what way? Shops are there to minimize needless grinding, nobody wants to wait around for Sinisteas for a chance at a chipped pot. Nobody wants to demolish entire beaches just for sand. Nobody wants to lay waste entire forests just for enough wood to build their gym. The only issue with the shops was the fact that Copper coins was a seperate currency from the in game Pixelmon money, otherwise it would've been perfect.

Because I think the server would be more fun if it was up to the players on the server to set up those shops and make things like that. You bring up Sinistea as am example, so what if hypothetically someone set up a shop for their in their town, and only let citizens access it? Then, people would have to come join and build to get the use of the shop. Now, people can just go to spawn and it eliminates that. With the right incentives, good community can just pop up naturally, and I don't think a pre-built spawn town leads to the right incentives.

They did, the player market. Shops by players for things not already offered in Renga, like KimonoDragon's breeding services.

Completely fucks over any to-be ghost gym leader who wants to use Sinistea
Not to mention, the owner of the shop would have to grind for pots themselves, which would either lead to arbitrarily inflated prices due to scarcity or just none in stock due to how hard they are to find,

The way servers work are fine as is, last gen was a wonderful fresh breath of air when it comes to community and players formed closer bonds than before to a point where upwards of 20 people were willing to help 1 person fish for legendary spawns. Not building a spawn town or any renga clone would strengthen any sense of community other than unifying players in the ideaology that jannies are lazy.

You could tear down the prebuilt shit and make the shop the way you want. Somebody had a crazy 2-story shop. You could do whatever you wanted with it as long as you stayed in your zone, like a Farmer's Market. It was actually quite based.

As it stands I can almost guarantee there are more people in Group A than Group B, ergo implementing the change alienates more people while bringing it less.

Also, to be frank, trying to change something based on the word of someone who didn't play the last gen is going to be hard for people to accept. Not saying your opinion is wrong or being mean but ultimately people don't care to cater to make it playable for you if they're fine with the way it is. Whether you play or not is inconsequential to them.
