It's fine, lol. Cards have stayed unsleeved in people's binders for nearly 2 decades before getting sent to psa and grading a 10. A flat drop on a flat surface on the back of the card will do nothing.

Yeah, I think that is the problem with binders. I saw they sell binders now they can fit top loaders, that would be the ideal way to store and display cards to friends without damaging them in case you ever did want to get them graded during the next bubble.

Don't worry about pringle bending. That's considered "warping" and it's actual damage to the card. It can happen naturally by the expansion/contraction of the foil layer in humid environments. But it can also happen through minor bending in a binder near the spine.

It's not considered damage and it does not affect the grade of a card, believe it or not. An actual bend in the card is different than pringles warping. Warping can be corrected by placing the card under a heavy book or by placing it in a rigid slab like a one-touch case or a graded case. A bent card cannot be fixed.

If you want completely flat cards the only way is storing in toploaders or grading. They will curl in cardsavers.

First things I noticed off the bat are the sealed cards, especially the Mary. Never seen that sealed before.
In the same page as the sealed Mary is a Japan exclusive Slowbro promo. Sadly TCGPlayer doesn't really do non English cards so I can't tell you what it's worth.
Left page in the 6th image is a set of 9 Neo era "promos". Not worth that much outside of their original package, but worth checking.
Lastly, I also noticed 3 of the cards that had their artwork changed for the western release; Grimer looking up a skirt, Sabrina giving the finger, and Golbat with a swastika. Not worth much, but they have an audience of sorts.

Fair enough. Yes language barrier would be good enough of an excuse I suppose. The card alone is becoming hard to find slowly regardless of language which is cool. Some kid at a card shop today showed me that he was hoarding 82 “true first edition” Japanese Charizards and explained to me the West World’s youth save a few bucks on that but are counting on an investment but I don’t know. Only time will tell. A good view I believe is promising is that most true vintage cards in English and Japanese is that they are limited regardless and will become harder to obtain as time continues to go on. Rocket Gang’s Scizor is well proof on such view in either language.

Well generally if your intention is to complete a set, you could probably pull all the commons, uncommon, and rares pretty easily. The same could be said for the lower tier ultra rares, like the v's. The full arts, secret rares, and especially alt arts are better off being bought as singles. Trying to pull all the alt arts of evolving skies is just gonna turn into a huge money sink.

If your card is worth over $150 raw, or you like to display it, then it makes sense to keep them in a special enclosed case like a one touch. That way you can keep them safe and make sure they stay pristine if you ever wish to sell them or send them off to grading.

For me, it's the backs. I don't mind Japanese cards. Sometimes the holo pattern or etching or even the borders are way better than the ENG counterparts but I just can't get over the back. It could just be nostalgia hitting me hard or PTSD from playground days of kids trying to trade those fake sticker cards in those vending machines but I can't get anything that isn't the english background

don't grade anything that:
- can't realistically get a 9 (or an 8 if it's over like $150 raw)
- is less than $25 raw

because otherwise you'll just lose to the $20+ grading fees + 15% ebay tax

Bought the Elite Trainer Pokemon GO box off Amazon during Prime Day.

It came today factory sealed. Opened it up it had everything except the promo Mewtwo card.

Has this happened to anyone before? Getting a box that's missing the promo card? Is it just a factory or production issue?
