Older DS systems are less reliable in connecting. Your best bet is a DSi.

3ds works the same way as dsi, for gen4 games though you need a free wifi spot or wep protection, gen4 games don't support wpa2

Do you happen to have an android? You can make a password free hotspot, and that'll work for gen 5. Otherwise, you're just relegated to just gen 5.

ok so i have tried to do the mobile hotspot and it still doesnt work, this is what happens:

Make sure to hold your phone near you DS/DSI/3DS sometimes I've gotten error 52000

I have completed my dexes so I just look for good iv pokemon and can help with any rare item you are wanting, I have an emerald file and my soul silver has a fuckton of heart scales.

i didnt have anyone to play it with anymore, and any single player game i could emulate on my pc.
playing the battlespot is usually a mix of clueless morons or some jap using movesets that would make a smognoid combust
