>>51326229x is my favourite so i'm probably also biased, gen 6 had the best qol features by far and was overall solid, but it feels unfinished at times, especially since we never got a third version. i still wish xy got one more update making it fully compatible with oras and bank/vc, that's annoying
i can't say much about bw2 since i only played it at a friends place a decade ago and my own copy of white 2 is in italian which i only noticed after taking it home so i never played it
