The fight didn't measure up to over a decade of waiting at the end of the day, all the meaning and gravitas of it got gutted between things like no DP team and it being the semis and Ash and Cynthia acting like they don't care about fighting one another but only seeing the other a stepladder to reach Leon.
And then there's the endless shitposting going about this fight 24/7 everywhere you go. Impossible to talk about or discuss in good faith.
And it's not like the fight was a super sakugafest full of god-tier animation or anything to make up for it lacking in all the other departments. That sucked too.
Not this just battle, but this whole tournament has been a disappointing. What a shame. It shouldn't have been like this.
