When I was young, BW was considered the pinnacle of the series and the unreachable ideal.

Now that I have aged, SM is nowadays considered that unreachable ideal.

I look forward to the day when SWSH becomes the unreachable ideal for Pokemon games in the future.

We've known since they came out

I think the only way SWSH will be regarded as good is if future games remove even more content and look even worse, kind of like how people started saying LGPE looked okay when BDSP showed just how ugly a Pokemon game can be.
