It's not arbitrary, there's a story reason for it and the player needs to consciously get a specific key to unlock it and get the guards to move. It's not just "hurr reach x point and roadblock magically clears"

It's fucking amazing how much more effort and thought got put into gen 1 compared to gen 5 16 years later.

Repeating your Brazilian ESL misunderstanding of what post-game is doesn’t suddenly make it a good argument. Post-game has nothing to do with the main adventure outside of complimenting it by giving the player more to do if they choose to challenge themselves with it. You’re only giving this cope argument of “post-game detracts form the main adventure” because you can’t accept the fact that the developers stopped putting in effort to give players meaningful post-game content because they believe kids are addicted to their phones, and have no time to play their games anymore.

It's actually LESS to do because it's less for me to explore during the maingame. Would've been great to explore Pinwheel forest during the maingame but in the postgame where I already have my full team and I'm done 99% of the story then what the fuck is the point?

Then you just reload right before the boss fight when you feel like playing that save file? That's how RPGs without post game content work

This is a stupid comparison. DQ11 has a post game as well, why didnt you compare that? Or literally any other RPG with similar content? If we go off elden ring then Pokemon would have ng+ and you get to begin the game again with 70+lvl Pokemon. That's even worse than NEW ADDITIONAL BONUS content
