I can see them doing something in Oceania, but if Aus gets picked they wouldn't do NZ, and likewise if NZ gets picked they wouldn't do Aus.
Canada could work akin to Sinnoh just scale it down in size and it would be fine.
Italy is a no brainer but I doubt they would double up on the latin based regions so soon.
Germany and Scandi countries are all easy choices as well.
Greek/Turk med region would be possible and comfy,
South Africa is the most likely candidate on Africa,
Mexico would be easy for a region setting and so would Brazil esp. with all the jap diaspora.
Egypt would be possible I guess,
Arabia as a region if GF were desperate enough to pander to oil sheiks.
Madagascar is diverse enough to warrant something.
I feel like the Low Countries would just get thrown into a German region if included at all.
Korea if the japs were really getting bankrupt on ideas,
SEA is really grasping at straws for making a region work, probably the closest to never ever tier.
Soulless eastern european/balkan/russian wastelands will never make it in as a region, neither will sandnig land or africa,
the Island gimmick is used up from alola so don't get your hopes up for a carib/island region.
India is a never ever
the rest of latin america is a never ever, especially coming off the heels of a spanish region.
Antarctica would make no sense,
China of all countries is probably the most deserving, no-brainer of a region out there but it will never happen.
