You are brought to the Pokémon world on the condition that you can’t compete in the Pokémon league, join a evil team, or anything else like that. You have to live as just a normal citizen in the world but you can still have Pokémon like any of the other people there. For all intents and purposes you aren’t a professional trainer and just live a normal life.
