Real world Human issues seems so distant in a world like Pokémon’s. Like sure there’s a small percentage of those who just inherit or “live,” but a majority of poke’inhabitants live and contribute to society as a whole. The issue with Lysandre is that his ideas do not make much sense or fit the logic of an already peaceful world. If they made Kalos’ governing body an evil or foolish organization that covers the world’s natural beauty then Lysandre would have something to stand on. I would bring up Human issues, like greed, but these issues happen so little that it doesn’t warrant much and if they did then Lysandre would be an excellent life coach.

Reminder that Pokespe XY is an utter hell for the protagonists and unlike the games, they received no fame or recognition for stopping Team Flare. In fact, most of the homicidal Team Flare members scattered and reintegrated back into the public, meaning they'll never receive their just punishment for their crimes. And understanding all of this drove the XY crew to hate the people of Kalos for the same reasons Lysandre did, until they got snapped out of it and forced themselves to return to their old lives. Because if they truly lingered and thought about it Lysandre would return though them, and they did not want that at all.

The world of Pokemon isn't as near Utopic as it seems apparently.
Giovanni trafficked Pokemon.
Maxie's and Archie's whole plan regarding Groudon and Kyogre was due to wanting an increase of Natural Resources (Maxie wanted humanity to thrive while Archie wanted the Pokemon of the sea to thrive).
N spoke to Pokemon who were abused by humans.
Only the Orre duology ever committed to at least showing us a shitty situation.

Rose was a genuine retard, especially when he could have just built a Solar Panel-esque battery that could have been charged via DynaMAX/GigantiMAX energy.
Lysandre has a somewhat redemption in Rainbow Rocket where he revealed he didn't intend to kill anyone or make them permaimmortal.
