ngl the walk was the most fun travelling experience in the whole game as was the journey from home to the school. Getting around the open world with the bikemon was necessary but honestly it killed any sense of adventure the entire game for me. Smaller well designed routes > big empty open fields anyday

It was spooky as fuck going through the bases and slowly realizing that it wasn't actually the real professor who called you down there. The reveal was pretty messed up too, especially considering how the real Professor was real mom of the material. I don't remember the last time things got that dark in a pokemon game.

It reminded me of mysterious/conclusive final areas in other JRPGs. It felt weird to have a legit final stage like that in a main series Pokemon game, but not like that's a bad thing. Feels like what things like Ultra Megalopolis should've been and it's cool they finally got this thing right for once.

It's also the first time they've gotten me to actually like the friendly rivals/travelling companions.

I need some time before I can say for sure, but I think I might agree this is the best Pokemon game to date underneath the god awful performance and bugs. One issue is that I can definitely see the performance being a dealbreaker for some, especially people who have issues with motion sickness. I can't remember any other game I've played (aside from those stupid meme ones where they're being shitty on purpose) where it was literally nauseating to look at.

anon the other box legendary is so you can transfer it later. You can't transfer the ride mon so it ends up being the same thing as previous gens where you have to play it twice (or be a consoomer and have both) to get both legendaries.

It's a nice bit of content but that's literally it, you can only do the rematches once and after that all that's left is the 4 legendaries and grinding tera raids forever.

You could only do the gym rematch once specifically because there is a story behind it. There no Elite 4 rematch. What you get is a 4 match tournament that is repeatable. You either do that or Tera Raid for end game grinding.

The whole concept of Area Zero already gave me heavy Made in Abyss vibes but then I actually got in and the upper level literally looks like the first layer. Definitely blew my mind to see something like that in a Pokemon game and I really had no idea what to expect going deeper, fantastic stuff.

Felt to me like she was socially overwhelmed. I work with teenagers and for high anxiety and/or autistic teens, socializing has a sort of battery. And its really short. Running out of charge generally makes them either close up and shut down, or get a bit grumpy as their way of making it through. Penny gave us a couple of lines in the story like the second time she brings us TM materials- she barely talks, but says it's more than she's used to and her throat is sore. She doesn't socialize. So suddenly being in a dangerous place with a mistrustful grumpy guy and a hyperactive athlete girl was probably just a lot for her.

I don't get why people are hung up on this, the game recognises it and uses it. Nemona and Arven bounce off her jabs exposing how it is her way of dealing with being venerable. We see it used for laughs and for her to stick with you despite her being so uncomfortable. Its like some decided she was pandering and can't accept it is a character fault used fairly well.

It was great and I'm hoping that 1: the PLA team is assigned the DLC again and 2: they optimize the fuck out of their jank ass system and revisit this type of dynamic for telling the rest of the story. I'm assuming the next area that's visited will be whatever past/future the 3rd legendary has created, and you'll explore it with them. I have a feeling that Arven's Dad/Mom isn't actually dead, but being used as the host/catalyst for the Pokemon to continue manifesting their desires.

No clue, I don't think they left anything in the code like they did for SwSh. Either it's going to be explored as some point, or mentioned that the region is canon connected to Kalos. I highly doubt we visit that area if that's the case and it's just world building.

The funniest thing is that even tho you can't see the other players the game still sees them in the same area as you. So you can still see and fight the pokemons that spawn around them. me and friend with scarlet did this to catch all paradox pokemon from both versions by staying the same areas

It was cool as fuck but the game didn't have the technical flair to really pull it off as good as it could conceptually be. They really should have made the foliage and overall aesthetic way more alien, with some differences depending on your game's version, like futuristic elements in Violet and more overgrown look for Scarlet.

Both spawn as long as you are in the exact same area. The pokemon that spawn aroud the players are based on the game they are playing. if the other player leaves their pokemon will just poof away even if they are right next to you however so it requires coordination on both players
