Man, Scarlet and Violet's story is fucking wild.
Aside from Penny, easily the most lovable and endearing gal in the franchise's history, you've got Arven, a legitimately insane psychopath who's obsessed with cooking lethal poisonous food from the Herba Mysticas for innocent wild Pokemon (doesn't help it's almost always dogmons, why), and Nemona, who tricks the school into thinking she's cute and sweet - she's not, she relentlessly bullies you specifically throughout the entire game, either by telling you suck and will never become a Champion, or lying to everyone that you're exactly like what she is to you.
I was expecting to finally take these assholes down at the end, but no, just defeat this totally unrelated professor guy alone and credits roll. Even when the credits music is absolutely stellar, the ending was ass, easily the worst in the series.
