The Japanese name had the word for poison in it, but they omitted that in English (probably because they had to put two English words in 12 characters, space included). That said, I don't really get why it's a Poison-type to begin with since it just looks like a robotic volcarona.

Most of the paradox pokemon have typings that make zero sense. Its even worse with the violet ones because they all have iron in their names (implying a steel type) but only iron treads has a steel typing.

So Gen 1 is bad too, right? In situations where the typing isn't obvious (name, the sort of trainer using it, whether or not it's in a gym, etc.), you don't even get to LEARN what type an enemy Pokemon is until you capture it, buy a guide, or deduct its typing through your own wits.

No. My point is that it’s retarded to ask “how am I supposed to know that X is a certain type” because in the games there is a literal Pokédex that tells you all the relevant information about the Pokémon that you encounter.
