Anyone ever got one of these to the HoF? There is plenty of other more interesting water Pokémon to use, even Npcs don't give a fuck about them

some mons are just dex filler; GF did get more considerate later on though.
The thing doesn't even learn it's only STAB until past lvl 40; total waste of time for raising it in games that offer better water types way earlier.

Don't have a screencap but I had one on my HoF team when I was replaying Ruby back in 2016
I caught it in Petalburg when searching for a Corphish to surf on and thought "that'll do" and then it quickly became my best friend and swept all of Team Magma

That isn't my problem with it really anon, the thing is that you are most likely going to encounter or even have a Gyarados long before you even realize Seaking is a thing.
The contrast should be the reverse though if it's point is just to be a common fish.
