I suppose. I'm not preoccupied with others knowing I did it, I just want the experience of doing so myself. I like tinkering with code and mechanics. But you are right, it's big-headed to think my ideas are good enough to be "stolen" in a community that's pretty hard-built on collaboration and codesharing (mostly doing pokeemerald stuff rn). Guess it's a mindset I have to drop, as I do genuinely just want to contribute work that improves the games / gives opportunities to change their experience.

i genuinely dont know how any romhack/fangame doesnt address the ev/iv/nature/ability issue despite making the game more challenging (aka busted unless you grind for hours with the shitmons the game throws at you)

Your Pikachu shouldn't have a >50% chance to be a complete shitter in Speed/Special Attack, that doesn't make it individual, it makes it garbage.
But yeah hack makers usually lack the know-how to strip out EVs/IVs entirely as there is a significant amount of code to tinker out to remove them (unless you just set the caps to 0, but 70% of the hacking scene couldn't tell you how to do that, an obvious symptom of this issue).
It's the same answer most "why don't hackers do X?" questions yield - they're incompetent, lack vision, or simply cannot code. You need all three abilities in your wheelhouse / team before you can take on stuff like ACTUALLY making a challenging game that isn't just "I slap da big stats on da gym leaders xD".

Reworking hidden stats is a really easy feat. Prevent IVs from affecting the final stat total, and make removing EVs easier. Or just get rid of EV yields entirely and bind them to items.

Hey, you asked why they don't address it. I didn't say it would be hard, just that there are a few places you can go to fix the issue (and some are single-line fixes that would handle it wholesale).
I think the plain and simple answer is a lot of hackers just dial numbers up, and slap on a killer coverage moveset, and call it a day. They don't want to tinker with underlying numbers - there's a reason any attempts to rebalance the dex tend to wind up as spot-buffs, rather than core restructuring of identities. This is why Radical Red shook things up a little - they at least tried to give everything a strategy and purpose. It's a very different mentality than a lot of hackers used to have, when all we had for tools WERE ways to adjust stats and stats alone without diving hard into binary. You forget how young relatively the decomps are still, and how there are STILL people binary hacking to this day.

Potential Status Rework:
So some baseline concepts I set out to address:

Original gamefreak fix: lower accuracy of sleep moves, greatly limit distribution of consistent sleep. Issue mostly hinges on the inability to act coupled with RNG of when you wake.

A status with no status move, meaning it MUST be inflicted by chance. Underutilized, RNG-reliant. I think I've seen two dozen actual Freezes in my entire career, and I've played since Gold release.

These are the focuses of my initial rework, as I was not too preoccupied with volatile status like Confusion or Attraction - they occupy the same niche as Paralysis, and get more complex.
I set out with the intention to make status less of an RNG fest and more of a conscious choice and reward.

So my first thoughts were to incorporate the changes proposed by PLA.

Excellent mechanic, but again leans on the RNG aspect. I've removed this and adapted it.
>Frostbite
Fixed Freeze. No way about it. Excellent design.

And I came up with a system to inflict status to allow more ways to interact with them without needing to fuck around with actual status moves or random chance effects.

Grass types are immune to drowsy / sleep

This makes Sleep an easily achievable goal two-punch goal, and balances the opportunity cost of the status with the potential benefit to be gained.

An immediate payoff for investing the time to inflict Drowsy, but nothing crazy.
>Sleep
Sleep turns now follow this setup:
>Turn 1: Fast Asleep, no chance to awake. Moves like Sleep Talk still work.
>Turn 2: 65% chance to wake, move used on waking has 75% of base accuracy. This works out to turn 2 being a 50/50 of waking AND hitting your waking move.
>Turn 3: 100% chance to wake, no changes to accuracy
>Pokemon leaving Sleep are returned to Drowsy status, and cannot be put to Sleep for 3 turns.
>Accuracies of moves used against Sleeping Pokemon are increased by a flat 5%.

So, now Sleep is a telegraphed, earned status that has a lot going on under the hood rather than just being "you can't move for 2-4 turns". This all works out to:
>Invest two turns to put an opposing Pokemon to sleep
>As a result, it is expected the opposing Pokemon will have approx. 1.5 of the next 3 turns to use, a net loss of 1-2 turns.
>And even after waking, the Pokemon remains weakened in a Drowsy state.

This is all a little heavily designed, but Sleep really wasn't well thought-out and never has been. Hiding behind low-accuracy moves doesn't change how busted sleep is fundamentally.

This makes Paralysis an evergreen status, something heavily needed by non-elemental types.

This makes Paralysis a strong status for non-elemental types, where flinch and crits reign supreme. It most notably hands a status to the Normal and Fighting types. I will most likely not make moves like Fake Out have their flinches contribute to the status, but I can still see that as something to leave in to make Fake Out a more potent opening shot. If I did something like that, I'd drop the base damage of the move to keep it from being as good of a revenge kill move to clarify the move's identity as an opening shot / setup rather than a closer.

Some electric status moves will still inflict Paralysis directly. Maybe a fighting status move to inflict this status as well, as this new layout fits nicely with Fighting's identity.

Similar to Paralysis, I'm adding routes to status that AREN'T RNG reliant or hard-linked to status moves. Burn, Frostbite, and Poison statuses are inflicted in Tiers, and the current tier is determined by the amount of status points on a Pokemon (invisible value). This makes it possible to use status without forcing the player into status moves. It also greatly rewards committing to a particular status.

>Burn / Frostbite
Identical twins of Status. Fire types are immune to Burn, Ice types are immune to Frostbite.
Burn is inflicted by reaching [threshold] of Burn status points. Fire status moves inflict a set amount of status points, but damaging fire moves also deal some Burn status points. Some Fire moves deal more Burn status, and as a tradeoff deal less direct damage. Same philosophy for Frostbite, but for Ice moves. Ice receives frost status moves a la Will-O-Wisp.
>Tiers - I reached at points = 50% target's maximum HP, II reach at points = 100% target's maximum HP
>I: Moves of the inflicting type (Fire/Ice) deal 25% increased damage. DoT moves (like fire spin) deal 50% increased damage, both on use and on recurring damage. Burnt/Frostbitten Pokemon take 1/16 maximum HP damage per turn, doubled to 1/8 if the afflicted Pokemon would be weak to that elemental type.
>II: Attack (Burn) / Special Attack (Frostbite) lowered 50%, speed lowered 25%. Moves of the inflicting type (Fire/Ice) deal 50% increased damage. Status cures used on Tier II only reset the status to Tier I.

Tiering in this manner makes these statuses excellent on the offense. Elemental moves that push an opponent under the 50% HP line set you up for the finishing stroke the next turn regardless of opponents' recoveries, and opponents that can restore their health to outpace this are eventually forced into Tier II, where they can again be set up for a finishing stroke and are even harder to cleanse of status.

Poison follows the same principles as Burn/Frostbite, wherein a set amount of Poison status points determine the status of the Pokemon.

The best stab I could take at updating Poison to not be just boring chip damage. Tier I is excellent at dealing with squishier Pokemon, with the potential for the flat damage to actually deal MORE than % HP damage would. Tier II is then available if the target is bulkier, and rewards continued use of Poison moves as stat droppers. If the opponent is truly nasty, Toxic comes online and is inevitable, even if the opponent has a way to scrub status.

I suppose I'd refine my goal to be "defining the RNG risk-taker". For example, in the case of Sleep, the Sleep inducer is taking a 75% chance (Sleep Powder, in this instance) that they will cripple their opponent for 2-4 turns. The slept Pokemon now has to take a risk to even play the game further, unless the player switches it out. In most scenarios, 2-4 turns of sleep is a death sentence or a huge setup opportunity, making Sleep basically a higher-accuracy OHKO move with even bigger potential repercussions.
In this scenario, we instead have an immediate payoff for attempting Sleep that still allows the opponent the opportunity to control their Pokemon and assume their own risks without being forced into a specific path. This also means we can heighten the accuracy of Drowsy/Sleep moves, as we no longer have to worry about the feast/famine Sleep moves inherently create. The final rework to Sleep turns means we now have a consistent pattern, with specific, well-defined risks associated with each turn to engage with. Sure, this makes turn 2 a coin-flip, but in reality Sleep was always a series of coinflips - I've simply made the Pokemon more likely to wake, with the downside that they may still lose the turn's move.

I think it would be better if there was a reliable cure for sleep. Like physical moves always wake up a sleeping mon or something, like how moves with a burn chance defrost frozen ones. The accuracy drop just makes it a less reliable paralysis, which you completely reworked anyway.
I didn't read all of your posts, but I think a better solution for the statuses that skip turns are:
>If a slower mon is paralyzed, it can't be fully paralyzed on that same turn.
>Frostbite is only applied if a non-Ice Pokemon uses a freezing move. The Frozen status is now exclusive to Ice mons, because they deserve all the help they can get.

Yes, they clearly had no idea how to keep Paralysis an electric-type status without going wild with move distribution. They've clearly struggled with Electric's design philosophy for a very, very long time. A condition I was thinking of implementing was some sort of Charge system, where using electric moves accumulates charge, and at a certain level electric moves "chain" damage to the next Pokemon in line (or the other Pokemon in Doubles Battles).

Agreed, the issue is Hacks are basically a "single generation" when released, so too much change eventually becomes unpalatable for the player.
I was also thinking of giving Water types a lot more supporting moves like healing / status curing, while taking away some of their offensive presence. Would need to tinker to avoid accidentally making Stall lords, but I think it's a good direction for the type with one of the highest Pokemon counts in all generations

As water-types are usually high in special defense, and grass-types mostly lack reliable high-damage physical attacks + stats, I don't think it's as hard of a counter as the type matchup would imply. I've always seen Electric types as a real hard-counter to Water, with some exceptions of course.
And yeah, of course ice coverage shores that up further. Not sure if you're the other anon throwing out suggestions, but appreciate it man. Some great workshopping here to ensure I don't go full ape implementing something that doesn't serve the intended purpose.

Yeah, I'm the same anon. Discussing game design philosophy is better than what most of this general has been over the past couple years.

Valid. I think you're seeing those parallels as deckbuilding and teambuilding "rhyme" in a lot of ways. The ability to compose a team or deck is limited only by the availability of options, and Pokemon delivers in spades (and just like card games, Pokemon suffers from power creep AND centralizing of the meta to strategies that for the most part call for silver bullets or direct countermeta builds). Pokemon has this easier and harder due to only having six (or 24 if you view it at the movepool-level, or 30 if you include abilities) slots instead of 40+ - not to mention lack of rematches in online play makes it hard to "sideboard" Pokemon.
Similarities, but also signficant differences.

Nobody playing a formulaic low-difficulty Pokemon fangame would ever do something that requires other EVs/IVs, like wanting the minimum speed on Trick Room users, or wanting the minimum Attack stat possible on Special Attackers, wanting just barely enough speed to outspeed a specific threat and no more, or wanting a specific stat higher than others so it can be affected by Beast Boost.

Move set for both has a lot of misc coverage you expect from normal and dragon types, obvious standouts are Bulk Up, Quiver Dance, Dragon Dance, Pollen Puff, Stockpile, etc. Basically the gimmic for the first one is Eviolite and the second one is being a support mon. Both have a lot of very good stat buffs that work well with fluffy set up and sharing stat boosts but don’t have much damage without setting up. Simple is better solo while mirror scale is maybe a bit too get in doubles.

Not sure how well that would even translate across a variety of natures though, and if anything it would exacerbate the problem even further, where rather than just settling for a nature that doesn't reduce an important stat, you'd want a highly specific one if it has a really key move for how the pokemon usually functions. It'd be less numerical, but the potential for minmaxing still remains.

Unless you mean something else entirely, such as following pokemon having different text that can show up depending on their nature

Let's see, it added some new pokemon, added back sprites to the ones you couldn't catch before, made some new zombiemons, changed some stats and types, and a few other things. It also looks like he might try to add in the physical special split.

Over all, doesn't seem to fix the main issues with Snakewood, but looks like a more enjoyable version.

most of my ideas are visually based, since my gripe is that natures don't present themselves as actually affecting the perception of a pokemon beyond its numbers

off the top of my head, one idea I thought of was having slight sprite variations based on a pokemon's nature
my initial thought would be that you could created a matrix by mixing eyelid variation and mouth variations, like in the video i posted
of course, not every pokemon will have eyes or mouths, so you could either replace those with secondary characteristics or leave it alone to imply that those pokemon are generally more inscrutable

another idea i thought of was a simple animation to play when a pokemon is sent in
could be as simple as reusing certain move animations (like the pumped up animation, shaking, bouncing, etc.)

a third idea could be modifying the pitch and speed of cries based on nature
for example, a high pitch and a low speed could be for timid personalities, while a low pitch but high speed could be for bold personality

A lot of them change shiny colors. Pokemon Pyrite (Crystal hack) ups the shiny rate and makes most shiny pokemon look a lot better.

Animations aren't bad though. I think limiting a pokemon species to 3-4 natures would keep the uniqueness just varied enough to make you check the nature when you catch them, but catering the selection allows us to guarantee ALL natures possible provide an interesting experience.

I think part of it is how twitchy a lot of people have become. I've gone from "can grind Pokemon for 8 hours" to "I need to have a video playing while I play so I'm stimmed enough".
I just think everyone is getting used to maxing out their stimming, and unless a game is REALLY captivating, it's just hard to break through where that noise isn't necessary anymore. And Pokemon is not something that's stimulating every second, half the steps in a battle are text explaining what you just did since the game can't just show you.
I think that's why a few people liked S/V or PLA so much - the action is pretty constant and the world has a bit more interactivity. But it's an issue in most games now. And I think it's the quiet undertone to this whole "speed up" garbage that's polluted multiple threads now, that some peoples' solution is just to triple the speed to get enough stim to interact with the game. Couple that with the insane amount of media nowadays making most games feel like something to check off your backlog, and you have people who are motivated to go faster and faster to get everything they want done.

Agreed, although I think to an extent this is unavoidable. People are meant to interact and seek stimulation, share stories and play games. It's just that a lot of the systems that have grown over time attempt to monopolize this behavior to themselves, rather than allowing you to reach out to those in your vicinity.
For example, I spent the last four years becoming increasingly unsociable, preferring to listen to podcasts and be alone rather than interacting with my peers at my job.
I made the shift to listening to unobtrusive music (soundtracks, music with no vocals), and suddenly I am that much more into the spaces around me. It's sad that this felt like a revelation at 27 years of age, because I grew up in a house that still had a corded phone, and I just spent the last 4 years consuming untold amounts of information I kept taking in because I thought it was "neat". No idea how much of that I can actually turn around and either repeat or utilize.
And I have the benefit of seeing how this came to be, I can't imagine how zoomers feel. I'm curious if this pendulum will ever swing back, as more and more companies are fighting desperately to retain users and prevent us from swinging back to something that isn't so...enslaving.

Partially, perhaps. Rome dragged it's corpse around for hundreds years. But as far as I'm concerned the only true solution to this entire mess is a full collapse and restart. Hmm, a though occurs that you could potentially fine-tune the tutor move idea to instead be about flavor. Or more specifically, have five tutors who will each teach move(s) to a pokemon with a high contest stat.
That means a move that needs high coolness will be easy to get for a pokemon with an Attack-boosting nature that likes Spicy flavors, and more difficult for a pokemon that's the opposite. Not necessarily impossible, but it could be a way to have that sort of movepool distinction without completely locking it off.

Of course, that makes a lot of assumptions about having contest stats and ways to boost them.

It's overall a good effort. I've always been wary of introducing moves that can more easily cause status effects early on in the game since statuses can be quite the effective boon, but dividing it into several tiers or stages can help off-set stroke of lucks and make room for strategic play, or moves that inflict tier 2 straight away. If nothing else it's an area that can make your game different from the mainlines, just gotta be careful not to make it more cancerous.

And unless I missed it, Confusion status can be less RNG reliant by making all offensive moves deal recoil damage. Unsure how to treat status move side-effects though, maybe just add a 1/16 damage deduction at the end.

One thing that I can relate to in terms of getting info beforehand is whether or not some items can be "missed" during a run. I fucking love exploration, but I catch wind of something that I might miss out on depending on my game choices, and if the game is big enough where a replay would take a lot of time without nearly as much enjoyment, I often find myself looking that shit up.

Now, if it was communicated early on that nothing is truly missed and that things can still be obtained late-game, and instead simply missing out on getting something earlier, now that I can easily live with.

EXACTLY the note I put to paper last night. Glad someone else followed the logical progression of making a confused Pokemon an introduced, calculated risk rather than a diceroll at getting completely shit on or...nothing happening at all.

I think this is just a shortcoming of story design. Stories are meant to be played once, and trying to make them replayable carries a lot of pressure. What do you think people would want to try multiple times? Do you lock some of your proudest stuff behind one potential path? How do you cultivate an experience that makes people want to play again, or one that can be played again but was satisfying the first time around?
Really interesting section of design theory, but it does lead to what you said - if you leave a bunch of neat stuff for people to discover, they're gonna want to discover it on the FIRST time around. And locking certain things to a specific path means unless you give the opportunity to come back later, you've effectively deleted a portion of your game from the player's save.
This is particularly exacerbated in the romhacking scene, where there has really been no online multiplayer, so the story has even MORE weight on it to be engaging and interesting in a series that doesn't have enough gametime to show off 500+ Pokemon's unique strengths.
I personally am trying my hand at getting as much information rammed into the game as possible - one of these is an Evolutions Guide in the Pokemon Lab. Consulting the guide for a Pokemon you have seen states, in game-friendly terms, how to get it. Eliminates cumbersome documentation, lets the game stand alone.

To elaborate on confusion though, I actually thought of it one step further as recoil is nice, but not a perfect fit.
I thought it might be a good idea to make confusion break up the damage a move deals - for example, let's say the Pokemon uses Ember while confused, a 40-power move.
In my setup, damage would be dealt as:
>a 30-power fire move to the opponent
>a 10-power fire move to the confused Pokemon (still on the fence about typing with the "recoil", as it would make confusion better against things like Ghost and Dragon Types, which I'm not mad about)
This does get very complex once you start introducing moves with extra effects and status moves, but I think that complexity could make confusion a lot more interesting than just "I landed confusion, now you have a good chance to get BTFO every turn."

Pokémon as a franchise has already the foundation for replayability simply because you there are a lot of combinations when it comes to the team you'll be using throughout the game, or just picking a different starter. Whole reason why people like open world games though isn't specifically because you can walk anywhere, but moreso that you don't have to follow a particular path. Being able to challenge gyms/missions in a different order and have the game accommodate it by changing up their teams depending on what the player has accomplished up to that point would already shake things up a bit.

If you can also fits dialogue choices that affect relationships or in what direction the plot will go, that too will add another layer of replayability.

Naw, just make confusion a flat percentage like 15% or something. Let stats and type matchups take care of the rest, no need to make "more" or "less" confused. Tiering really makes more sense for status that can be accumulated, hence why Burn/Freeze/Poison were so explicitly tiered / quantitative / damage-linked while Sleep/Paralysis were qualititative / mostly status-linked. As confusion is more qualitative, and there really isn't a clean way to tier that out / make one move noticeably "more" or "less" confusing, I think just leaving it as a flat status is better. 5 "complex" statuses is already enough, I'm already working on making the tiered ones more intuitive and obvious.

Things change if i'm fighting a tough rival battle, for example. Hell, it doesn't even need to be an "important" battle, since battles with throwaway trainers can be dynamic too. In those cases i do not speed up. In fact, i don't speed up in 95% percent of the cases because i just do it to skip things that are simply tedious

They also know that each player's ideal experience is likely going to deviate from the intended experience in someway, and trust that the player can do their part in creating a good experience because the player knows what their ideal experience is better than the creator does.

yes, because the problem with speedup doesnt lie in the fact people use it to get through slow text crawls quicker, they use it to bypass large sections of dialogue and large sections of gameplay. people who were complaining about the lack of speedup were complaining they couldnt speed up through the fucking naming sequence.

Level cap per gym badge. Mons literally get no exp until its won.

There. Now you design the gym fight how you want.
Meantime, players can grind to that cap as fast or slow as they wish or go to it underleveled.

The best thing about the level cap is that it lets you design Pokemon challenges to be hard without saying "I don't know what level the player will be at when he gets here".
It lets you increase EXP gains and design difficult encounters, instead of overlevelled encounters you can outlevel after a short grind.

Dark Rising is why designing "difficulty" through making trainer Pokemon higher levelled than your Pokemon and nearby wild pokemon is fundamentally flawed.

You're over thinking things. Instead, look at what people use the status for. Burn, for example, is used to deal minor damage and to cripple physical attackers. Paralysis is used to slow fast mons to a crawl, poison (especially toxic) is used to deal passive damage. Sleep is used to get free turns. Freeze is bullshit.

The way I would fix status is simple:
1. Only allow dedicated status moves to inflict that status (no 10% Ice Beam freezes). Also, increase the accuracy of TWave, WoW, and Toxic to 100%.
2. Remove the individual instances of RNG from status (paralysis no longer fully paralyzes, sleep always lasts X turns)

That's it. If you want to keep the ability for Scald/Body Slam/Sludge Bomb/other 30% status moves to inflict the status, make it so they only inflict the status if used two turns in a row.

By simply augmenting an already RNG-tied trait and removing the cancer that is the 25% chance to not move at all. I perceive this as a net reduction of RNG, and coupled with my other updates it is easily lost in the wash.

No, I mean the other way around. Using moves is building up to an eventual lost turn. But not with every move, or having different kinds of moves build up different amounts. Something that can be kept track of, but the opponent can't always predict exactly when a full para will proc.
But I can see the opponent's moves working as well, just as long as the paralyzed Pokemon can switch out to reset that count.

Basically a way to set a delayed stun turn to play around. I can see that being tactically interesting, but the turn count would be a wacky thing to balance. I think it would have to be a set amount of turns rather than just turns spent damaging, I don't think there's any downside to setting a guaranteed paralysis turn to allow specific Pokemon to set up a reliable safe switch or setup turn (or force the opponent to switch out to not eat the dead turn). I'll have to think on that, that's actually very interesting and would give me a better secondary effect to tack on than increased critical hit damage.

Yes, I think that stat immunities will probably wind up cut in the long run. I was mostly tooling around with ways to factor in resistance to statuses, and the statline seemed the easiest (read: laziest) way to do that. May be a better approach to stick with Abilities being a good way to filter status, so it's more readily apparent why that Blissey didn't get Burnt or Paralyzed.
As for learning curve, we have an entire game to teach the player. I have no delusions that for some reason anyone would want to make a battle sim for my hack, so I think I'm fine making some changes so long as I introduce them in a paced manner, and clearly.

I have this now for Paralysis. Allowing the Paralysis status on Electric/Fighting types means you can still use it to correct for the intended speed reductions, but removing the paralysis turn shows that these types are slightly more resilient to the status. Might still be some overengineering but Electric types being wholesale immune to any paralysis while non-electric means like Body Slam exist seems like a gap in game design GF just ignored for simplicity.

My umbrage is not with difficulty, it is with designing teams that MUST have a handful of counters or be overleveled to not get slapped. Coverage is fine - slapping every elemental punch on a level 30 Electabuzz in Gym 3 is not. Pokemon does not need Souls-like design elements where Pokemon are just supercharged ahead of your own, or the base requirement that you MUST grind EVs and have IV manipulation to not have a shitty go of it. It needs unique strategies for you to learn and work around to overcome. A rain team that slaps my ass is going to make me a lot less pissed than that Electabuzz, because although rain has hard counters, you can also take advantage of rain, or side-pivot weather, or brute force if you know the priority targets to pressure out. You can learn how a rain team works and pick it apart - Electabuzz will always have those moves, and you are stuck getting pegged by those punches until you get lucky or play the way the dev wants you to.

There's a lot that can be done to avoid a gym being swept by a single move without needing to give each team member perfect coverage.
An easy example is how in the real games, some Water gyms have a Water/Ground type, but if you look at Crasher Wake or Wallace, that Water/Ground type isn't also packing an Ice move. Instead, that's relegated to another member of the team, and depending on the battle, they also have mons that are neutral to grass moves.

Something like that does a lot to prevent the player from just clicking on a single move through the entire battle, while also not punishing them for actually trying to use a Grass type against a Water/Ground mon only to get blasted by an Ice Beam. The gym should be able to check if a player has a diverse team and force them to actually use it, but giving a gym too much coverage can make the answers far too specific.

I played Radical Red on the minimal grinding mode and it felt pretty good. The wild mons I was catching were pretty much ready to add to the squad once they got levelled up and had a good moveset. And maybe do some dexnav scanning for hidden ability if it's needed. I think it's the best you can get without completely redoing everything.

Yes you can get a perfect ivs ditto with destiny knot after a quest. I also just read there is some npc that can transfer an egg move from one pokemon from the same evo line to another. Since i already caught a bunch of slowpoke with teleport its easy enough like that.

The Redux is very fun so far.
I'm playing the Classic Edition, so I can't speak to any pokemon modifications the hackers did. But the inclusion of Fairy Type doesn't seem glitchy and the removal of some tutorials works well.
