Emerald and Legends Arceus have been the most enjoyable games to return to over time personally, but I think the game I had the best first playthrough experience with B2W2.
SwSh was terrible but I'll be damned, the DLC Restricted Sparring and Dynamax Adventures have been some of my favorite battle facilities to date.
I'd probably put Emerald at my top.

OP here. Legends Arceus was probably my favorite pokemon game just for the sheer fun of catching them. Really wish they'd brought back the mechanics to gen 9 and it makes me sad. Its the only switch pokemon game I've completely finished.
Emerald is one of my top contenders as well

I refuse people with such low standards exist. RS, fine, it's something different but still very uninteresting. Dmax adventures is literally the worst thing ever.
