FFVII has 3 party members in battle, but the total number of party members is 9.
SMRPG has 3 party members in battle, but the total number of party members is 5.
Chrono Trigger has 3 party members in battle, but the total number of party members is 7.
Persona V has 4 party members in battle, but the total number of party members is 9.
DQXI has 4 party members in battle, but the total number of party members is 8.
SMTV has 4 party members in battle, but the total number of party members can go up to 26.
Digimon Cyber Sleuth has 3 party members in battle, but the total number of party members can go up to 11.
Every single one of these games gives EXP to every party member, regardless of whether or not they're active in battle or in reserves, and you can't turn it off.
