Area Zero is called Atlantis in the files.
Iron Bundle's pokedex entry mentions an ancient civilization despite it coming from the future.
Koraidon's ability is named after a mineral said to be from Atlantis.
Terapagos' tail is based off of the Minogame, a turtle from Japanese myth which is used in the tale of Urashima Taro to escort the titular character to an underwater city.
The second DLC takes place in an underwater facility.
I'm thinking Atlantis is happening.

I wish it would happen, I agree as well with the atlantis part, but Gamefreak usually doesn't do anything to crazy with it.
I think a lot of stuff is just overthinking as well e.g. the space stuff in the reveal trailer
