Would it make any difference if I said that not every XY viewer is a 'shipper'? I liked several things about the XY anime beyond shipping. But at the same time, you can like a character for both their general character and shipping, as is the case for me with Serena.

The Ashnime is only temporarily axed with previews of Ash together with Nemona/Arven being leaked and even TR being shown blasting off by Koraidon.
They likely have a whole Ashnime drawn up as a backup when the new MCs fail.

Which is fucking worse.
They could have given both him and TR character development with them becoming rivals instead of criminal stalkers.
