Get rid of Super Luck on Absol, give it Sharpness instead. The whole point of Super Luck was to tie in with Night Slash, but Sharpness does that better while boosting other moves

It's be interesting to have a new status move called something like Flutter or whatever that basically makes you Levitate while also maybe buffing a stat. They could then go back and rework Magnet Rise to also have a buff. I also remember we used to have that move Telekinesis that got cut, but it made the target levitate and then made every move on them more accurate so you could add that in as maybe a negative trade off. So something like:

The user flutters into the air, becoming airborne until switching out or forced to ground themselves (Roost, Gravity, Knock Down, etc). As a result of taking flight, the user gains +1 Speed but is also a little easier to hit

The one thing about that though is Super Luck sort of ties into its lore about being an omen. Maybe just buff that ability outright to either make crits even more common (busted?) or give it some other passive effect, like a heightened chance to get off a double Protect or something crazy

This entire thread is just evidence that GF needs to start giving Pokemon access to more abilities, not just limiting them to 3. It's also evidence that the members of the team who work on movesets and things like that don't exactly look under every stone instead just sort of preferring to pick out stuff they remembered to hit and leaving behind the rest

Yeah, super luck is thematically appropriate since Absol's thing is having such heightened senses that it predicts disaster and adversity ahead of time, which also rather sensibly translates to being able to nail an opponent's weak points more consistently, which to an outside observer looks like supernatural omens or great luck, respectively. Sharpness would be pretty boring in comparison.

Thundurus doesn't learn Bolt Strike even though it is literally the "Bolt Strike Pokemon". Tornadus can get Blue Flare to balance this.
Kyurem should get the option for Blue Flare or Bolt Strike in its fused forms in addition to Fusion Bolt/Flare. It should also get all of the learnset Reshiram or Zekrom gets in its respective fusion forms.
Necrozma should get similar treatment.
Gastly doesn't learn... Poison Gas. That's bullshit. It is literally a poison gas Pokemon.
Giratina doesn't learn Dragon Rush. Why?! Just fucking why?! It looks PERFECT to "tackle the target exhibiting overwhelming menace"

I don't know how you can really get more common than 100% of the time. +3 Crit rate is 100% as of gen 6.
+1 from Super Luck
+1 from Night Slash/Psycho Cut/Shadow Claw/X-Scissor if SV kept LA's effect on it
+1 from a Razor Claw/Scope Lens
Gamefreak just needs to give it more crit slashing moves like Leaf Blade, Aqua Cutter, and Dire Claw. Absol kept most of its gen 6/7 Special moves that benefited Mega Absol, but now that Megas are gone they're pointless.
