Calyrex Shadow Rider was amazing once.
The issue with this Pokémon is that it was announced in the middle of base SWSH promotion and then after it was released, we got promotions for BDSP and LA.
Nothing in the DLC stood a chance.,

what I actually thought they would do, when it was leaked that Calyrex would be able to fuse with other pokemon, is make it so Calyrex could fuse with one of 2 other legendaries who were headless bodies and it would become their head, thus "crowning" them and becoming the King of Galar who wielded Zacian and Zamazenta's sword and shield.

Galar is the region Gamefreak and TPC actively cared the least about. Look at how they sandwiched half of the actual dex into some of the last few episodes of the anime just to dial up the KANTOOO instead. People complain about the Kanto pandering in Alola or whatever but that region itself is still one of the most fleshed out in the entire series on its own merits. Compare Ohmori’s writing in SWSH to SM and SV too. It’s even more phoned in than Masuda’s story for XY.

The only real connection there is that most Pokemon use Eternatus' energy to Dynamax, while Calyrex uses his own energy, hence why he has blue shading instead of red while Dynamaxed.

Maybe? It's somewhat ambiguous. It's like how Terastallization relies on 'Terastal Energy', which is obtained through battle with a Tera Pokemon or at Pokemon Centers, but since Terapagos is clearly the source of that energy can Pokemon Centers in other regions recharge Tera Orbs too?

What are you talking about? It WAS a dlc mon.Calyrex wasn't in base SwSh. If I recall it was even straight up on of the dead last pokemon revealed in gen 8(not counting PLA) even after Zarude.

A lot of things in SWSH didnt make it in the anime or a merchandise like pokemon or characters

In Horizons is gonna happen the same shit because they already are setting up a plot outside of Paldea

Many anons have to understand that a lot of things are created to not be advertised and just appearing in the games is enough

Horizons in a few episodes travels to Paldea, including characters from the games and Pokémon from SV. It will have a much better fate than Galar. The story of Horizons is much better written than Journeys and maybe even the rest of the Ashnime seasons.
