Things were more experimental back in the day before they decided on their demographic and how the brand should be marketed, but those times are over. Not to mention, the sexual content in the Electric Tale manga wouldn't fly nowadays, even if the series was less internationally focused. Even Japan cracks down harder on that now. Anime aimed at younger audiences can't even get away with blink-and-you-miss-it pantyshots anymore.
