But that does remind me of why I did not like the way Serena's crush was handled. All very painstakingly spelled out. No allure, no build up, no back and forth; just a hammer to the face from start to finish. Felt forced, and worse yet, it completely consumed Serena as a character, until practically everything she did had to revolve around it. Not organic or charming at all.
But hey, at least I can't pretend she liked some other random kid, right? Haha
